About the Business

Formed in 1983 as a construction company, Adrem initially served the overseas clients of its then parent company, Areen Design Services. In 1988 Tom Galvin joined to run a large refurbishment project for a private residential client in Chelsea. Areen liked what they saw and asked Tom to re-position Adrem as a London based refurbishment contractor. Tom was appointed MD and commenced the re-organisation of the Company.

As Adrem grew over the years the company extended it services to commercial clients and in 1993 included Samuel Smith Brewery. Adrem carried out numerous refurbishments of famous landmark pubs for Samuel Smith including Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese in Fleet Street and The Cittie Of Yorke in High Holborn. Following this the first public sector project was carried out in 1995 working with the Inland Revenue, the success of this venture lead to expanding in 1998 by setting up a public sector division targeting NHS, local authority and Government Departments.

By going from strength to strength for more than a decade, 1999 saw Adrem set up the successful Maintenance Division initially to service Samuel Smith pubs across London. Two years later, 2001 witnessed further expansion of the Maintenance Division adding Fullers Brewery to their client list. A high demand for our services prompted us to establish a dedicated maintenance team servicing households, retail and commercial buildings across London.
